To create an accessible interface between the public audience and the local sustainable art and design community.

vision
Pandora's Trunk will function as a retail boutique and gallery that integrates visible artist workspaces into the floor plan and front window.  A resident core of artists will serve as a unique educational and promotional tool as they work.
Pandora's Trunk will take a leadership role in the creative community by focusing on sustainability both in its global function and within the work of participating artists. The group will work to educate its audience on the value of re-use and locally oriented commerce.
Pandora's Trunk will also be a pioneer in retail culture by creating an interactive community around the display and sale of creative work.  We will create career sustainability by allowing artists and designers access to their audience as well as working to grow that audience through outreach and events.  The fast pace of a retail setting enables artists to perform immediate market research on their work, while the familiarity of the retail setting creates approachability for this novel presentation of commerce and the arts.
